Advertising information

Pugs.nl is a non-profit website and offers advertising opportunities for the sole reason of maintaining the website. All advertising income will flow directly into bandwith, hosting and promotion of the website.
Because Pugs.nl has no goal to make a profit, not every company will be accepted as an advertiser.

Pugs.nl is a place for Pugs, Pug owners and Pug lovers. This makes it possible to advertise and reach a very targeted audience; dedicated dog lovers. We try to match the interests of our readers, members and our fans with the products and services of our advertisers. This means that it's only possible to advertise on Pugs.nl if you offer pet related products or services.
In some cases, exceptions can be made. If you feel that your product or service isn't pet related, but would definitely be of interest to our members, please contact the Pugs.nl webmaster.

We currently offer three different types of advertising; Google Ads, Photo Contest Sponsoring and Text Link advertising.

Google Ads

Some "Ads by Gooooogle" boxes have been added to a few pages of Pugs.nl. By signing up to Google's AdWords program, it is possible for you to run a targeted campaign on Pugs.nl.

Photo contest Sponsoring

Our Pug of the Month photo contest can always use some extra prizes to make it extra attractive for our visitors. By donating products (which you'll have to send to the winner of the contest), you can sponsor our photo contest.
A Photo Contest Sponsorship will get you a descriptive forum post (like this one) on our English and our Dutch Pug forum. Your company and website will also be mentioned in Django's Pug Blog.

Please note: to become a Photo Contest Sponsor, you'll have to be able to send your products abroad. The winner of the photo contest can live anywhere on the world.

Text link ads

If you want to support Pugs.nl by advertising on this website, you can also choose for text link ads. It is possible to purchase a 'featured listing' in the Pugs.nl Directory. There's a one time review fee of only $10 to be included as a featured listing.

It is also possible to advertise on Django's Pug Blog. Please send an email for the rates of this advertising option.

Please note

It is not possible to advertise on Pugs.nl if

• you do not offer pet related products or services
• you are trying to promote a puppy mill
• you offer anything that causes harm to animals
