Herrings & other things

April 25, 2007

You're probably not familiar with most of the Dutch habits and traditions. And why would you, since you're not Dutch? I'll tell you about an old Dutch tradition; eating raw herring. You have to eat it in the traditional way and the herring is preferably served with raw onions. In almost every city you can find fish stands, which -in most cases- sell herring.
Why am I telling you this? Because herring is delicious!

So, if you're ever in or near The Netherlands, don't forget to try the typical Dutch herring ;)

Oh, and because I've been away for a while, here are some newsflashes:

- The Pugs.nl picture gallery is online now. You can email me (info at pugs dot nl) your best shots, if you want to get listed as well ;)

- American toys aren't better than European toys. European toys (which are in most cases Chinese, however) last for about 18-20 minutes, my two American toys both lasted for around 20 minutes as well...

- You can vote for your favorite Pug of the Month finalist in this forum thread. Oh, and Jack (Coralfishg) was last month's winner.

- The last newsflash (yes, I've been saving the best for last) is that I'll be an uncle soon. How cool is that! The Ones Who Feed Me Every Day are expecting a baby in mid December. I can hardly wait!

I have eaten some gross things in my life, but Django, even I wouldn't eat that. Ugh.
