Pug Blog Weekend: The Pugs

February 26th, 2007

This week, I'll be reviewing the blog of The Pugs. This blog is about Bella, Jynx, and Jesse, three very cute Pugs.

As you can see, The Pugs doesn't use an every day lay out. It's quite refreshing to see something completely different, when you visit around 50 Pug blogs a week ;-)

The Pugs is being maintained by Kennie. Believe it or not, but she's only twelve years old. That's the real internet generation, I guess. Keep up the good work, Kennie!

The ratings of the 'The Pugs' blog are:
Design: 4/5
Number of posts: 3/5
Amount of cute and/ or funny pictures: 3/5
Content: 3/5
Overall: 3/5

Oh, the queue is empty at the moment. Anyone else who wants his or her Pug blog reviewed?

Pug Blog Weekend: Winston & Zelda

February 18th, 2007

It's already time for another episode of Pug Blog Weekend. The victims of this week are Winston & Zelda. Their blog isn't a 100% Pug blog (it's a mix of three blogs), but it is "100% of your daily dose of shenanigans".

The blog is one of the few Pug blogs I know of, that's not being maintained by Pugs. I admire all Pugs who have humans that are maintaining their blog, these Pugs must be very, very charming (or very, very manipulative).

When you read the blog, you'll see that both Winston and Zelda are being pampered. Pam-pered, I say! Their cookies are being human-tested and they get weird golden toys to play with. My favorite post is Zelda's Christmas post, those pictures are absolutely adorable! She should definitely enter the Pugs.nl Photo contest with one of those pics ;)

The ratings of the Transient Eclectic/ 100% Shennanigans/ Winston and Zelda's blog are:
Design: 4/5
Number of posts: 4/5
Amount of cute and/ or funny pictures: 4/5
Content: 4/5
Overall: 4/5

Pug Blog Weekend: Winston On Pugs

February 11th, 2007

This weekend, I'll be reviewing the blog of Winston, the Grand Duke of Pugsworth. Winston's name is bigger than he actually is, cause technically, he's still a puppy. He was born on the 8th of July 2006. Winston lives in Seattle, WA, in the United States.

Winston's blog is great! I love reading about what a Pug's life is like in Seattle and his pictures are great as well. The blog is about how Winston 'struggles through a pampered existence'. His posts and pictures show that he actually is a very pampered puppy. I'd love to have a waterfall drink bowl as well!

Winston says he loves compliments (here's one: I love your blog, it's great!) so feel free to spam his blog with positive feedback :-)

The ratings of Winston On Pugs are:
Design: 4/5
Number of posts: 4/5
Amount of cute and/ or funny pictures: 5/5
Content: 5/5
Overall: 5/5

Pug Blog Weekend: MyPugsBlog

February 4th, 2007

I was supposed to review Kennies blog this weekend, but it appears to be offline. Contact me if it's up and running again, Kennie, so I can review it next weekend ;)

The next one in line is A day in the life of our Pugs, Pug blog of Meimei & Miko. This blog is 'Dedicated to sharing the crazy, cute and gosh darn adorable antics of our pugs Meimei and Miko'.

Meimei and Miko are indeed crazy, cute and gosh darn adorable. Do you want proof? Meimei and Miko both were Pugs of the Month last year. Amanda does a hell of a good job maintaining the blog, especially the Memories Mondays are fun to read.

One day in the life of our Pugs (or MyPugsBlog) contains lots of entertaining posts with loads of cute and/ or funny Pug pictures. New posts are added several times a week, so you'll have to visit Meimei and Miko regularly if you want to keep up with their lives.

What I like most about MyPugsBlog is Puguna Place. I wish I had comic-makin' skillz...

The ratings of MyPugsBlog are:
Design: 3/5
Number of posts: 5/5
Amount of cute and/ or funny pictures: 5/5
Content: 5/5

Pug of the Month and more...

January 29th, 2007

I haven't been posting a lot of pictures lately, so I have the feeling I have to make it up to all of you. That's why I'll post some pictures of me in weird poses, in awkward situations or in strange places.
If you are willing to post some pics of yourself in weird situations, it would make me feel a little less embarassed, by the way...

Ok, with that out of the way, I can post about something completely different again :-)

February's winner of the Pug of the Month contest is Micha. She was an adorable fawn Pug puppy who loved to swim in her food. She's not a puppy anymore, just a few weeks ago she got her second litter of puppies. You can see the winning picture below, and you can read all about Micha right here.

Pug of the Month

Because Kennie's blog still is down (and because of a lack of time), there won't be a Pug Blog Weekend this week. Hopefully Kennie's blog is up and running again next week. Otherwise, I'll have to review another blog. If anyone is interested, please add a comment or drop me an email (info [at] pugs [dot] nl).

Pug Blog Weekend: The Pug Diaries

January 21st, 2007

This is episode two of the 'Pug Blog Weekends'. According to the owner of our next reviewing victim, The Pug Diaries, this Pug Blog is 'A true and accurate account of a journey into Pugdom'. Well, it actually is.

The Pug Diaries tells stories about Deuce, one of Britains cutest Pugs. Deuce is a quite naughty, young black male, who loves food, playing and puppy class. He started blogging in November last year and he has been posting lots of entertaining posts since.

The Pug Diaries is a fun blog to read. The design is quite standard, but the puppy pictures make up a lot. New posts are added almost every day, which makes it a good blog to add to your RSS feed (or blog reader, or whatever).
There is one thing, however, that could be better. The puppy pics! I can never get enough of puppy pics. No matter if you post 1000 puppy pics, I love 'em all!
(Just kidding! Keep up the good work, Deuce!)

The ratings of the Pug Diaries are:
Design: 3/5
Number of posts: 5/5
Amount of cute and/ or funny pictures: 4/5
Content: 4/5
Overall: 4/5

Pug Blog Weekend: Flat Nosed Pups

January 13th, 2007

This is my first Pug Blog review, I'm planning on doing this every week(end). My first victim is the Flat Nosed Pups Blog.

The Flat Nosed Pups blog isn't a 100% Pug Blog, but those Frenchies are just as adorable as Pugs. The FNPB (my paws are getting tired of all those letters...) contains lots of pictures, funny Pug and Frenchie stories and info about what it's like to live with lots of flat nosed doggies.
The blog is fun to read and also contains lots and lots of interesting links in the blogroll. I even bookmarked a couple of them ;) New posts are being added almost every day, which makes it an attractive blog to visit on a daily basis.

The ratings of the FNPB are:
Design: 3/5
Number of posts: 5/5
Amount of cute and/ or funny pictures: 5/5
Content: 4/5
Overall: 4/5

The overall score would be 4/5, but it was Peekaboo who convinced me to give the Flat Nosed Pups blog a 100% score of 5/5. She's just too cute!

Pug blog weekend

January 9th, 2007

Because I love to read other Pugs' blogs, I thought it would be cool to review a different Pug blog every weekend. This way, I get to read new Pug blogs and I will be able to share it with everybody.

If you want me to mention your Pug blog, please send me an email (info [at] pugs [dot] nl) or you can post a comment. It doesn't matter if it's your own blog or just a blog you love to read, every Pug blog is more than welcome ;-)
