Catching up

April 3rd, 2007

As I said earlier, it's time to do some catching up. Well, here we go.

I'll start with a call for help. Look at the pics below, I'm getting molested! The horror!

As you can see in this video, I also don't get enough food. I have to eat grass to stay in shape, for crying out loud!
Ok, that was my scream for help, now we'll get over to the other stuff...

I haven't been posting a lot lately, because of some login problems. That's why I'm really sorry to announce two new periods of light blogging. Next week, The One Who Feeds Me Every Day is taking off to the States for a business trip. Unfortunately, he isn't allowed to bring me with him. It isn't that bad, 'cause it means that The Other One Who Feeds Me Every Day and I will be getting a one week sleep over! The disadvantage is that I can't blog. My auntie & uncle have stashed their computer on the top shelf and I just can't reach the "on" button. Well, too bad...
The next period of light blogging will be in May. The Ones Who Feed Me Every Day have decided that we will be moving. We're not moving far away, but it'll still be a busy time...

A positive thing is that I just have recovered from yet another ear infection. Every week my ears are getting cleaned -which I absolutely hate!-, but I still managed to get another infection. Thank God I got rid of it.

Well, that's all for today. I'll do some more catching up later this week.

Playing on the edge

March 15th, 2007

Pugs are tough dogs. We like to play it on the edge. So do I. this is me playing on the edge next to the stairs. If my head would fit through the bars and if I would fall through it, I would plummet to the ground, which is almost 9 feet lower. Just like my frog toy did...

Carnaval

February 18th, 2007

Yesterday, the yearly Carnaval festivities started in parts of The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. Carnaval used to be a catholic holiday, but it has changed into a holiday for everybody.

During Carnaval (which lasts for 5 days), there are lots of parades. Yesterday, a parade came through the street at the back of our house, so I had a great view from the 2nd floor.

I had a great view from above.

As you can see, some of the parade wagons were very pretty.

When it's Carnaval, all humans start to act very weird. they dress up like this or like this and they drink lots of yellow stuff. I don't know what it is (The Ones Who Feed Me Every Day don't let me taste it), but it makes people do really strange things...

Snow!

February 8th, 2007

It was about time, but today it snowed for the first time this winter. Finally! It wasn't a lot (about an inch), but hey... snow's snow! Usually, the first snow arrives around Sinterklaas, but the winter is really lame this year.

I just love snow. It's cool, it's fun to play with, everything looks very nice when it's white and it tastes really good. Except for the yellow snow, ofcourse...

(Sorry for the bad quality of the pictures, by the way)

Catching up

January 27th, 2007

It's been a week without any blog post, so I've got a lot of catching up to do. I have been very busy with setting up a redesign for the Pugs.nl homepage, which will continue to consume a lot of my time. Programming and designing can be quite difficult without opposable thumbs, you know?

It seems like Winter has finally dropped by. We had a few cold days this week, so I have been losing my summer coat. The Ones Who Feed Me Every Day say I drive them crazy with all those loose hairs and that they can build another Pug with the amount of fur I've been losing. I don't understand why they didn't do that, I'd love to have a Pug friend!

This morning I discovered an email in my inbox, which was sent by Greg of Cool site of the Day. He said that I was the Cool site of January 27th, which is today! And I didn't even sign up! Woohooo! You can check it out at CoolSiteOfTheDay.com.

Hopefully, I can make some more time this weekend to announce the winner of the photo contest, to review Kennies blog (if it's up and running again) and to (ofcourse) post some pictures.

Finally!

January 15th, 2007

It took a while, but finally I'm able to make (and post!) pictures again. I accidentally broke the Flash memory stick of the camera, so that one had to be replaced. Why the heck do they let those things look like cookies?! Those things taste terrible!

Anyway, I can post the pics again the humans make, so woohoo! Here are the first few, that have been shot today. Usually, I am not allowed to go up the stairs when there's no one to watch me up there, but I guess The Ones Who Feed Me Every Day wanted to take some pictures.

Hey, I think I see a cookie over there!

Get me off, you human! I want that cookie!

Darn fireworks!

December 29th, 2006

Just like in lots of other countries, it's a tradition to use firework on the 31st of December to welcome the new year. I hate that tradition!

Because it seems like lots of kids can't read the clock and have started lighting up their fireworks already, it sounds like we're living in a war zone. You can hear firecrackers banging and skyrockets whistling all the time. I hate those things and bark every time I hear one. Especially when I hear one of those big ones. All that barking has made me tired, so I think I'll hit the sack. Again.

Frog toy

December 11th, 2006

Finally, my new strategy worked. I tried to let The Ones Who Feed Me Every Day feel guilty, because of the disappointing Stinkerklaas a few days ago. It worked, 'cause they showed up with a brand new toy yesterday!

Frog toy

Frog toy
He's made of canvas, which is quite tough to destroy. Ofcourse, there's nothing that can resist my lethal theeth, but this one could take a while to crack...

Frog toy

And he's got a squeeky thing up his but, so that's even a bigger motivation to demolish the frog. I hate those squeeky things!

I'll blog a bit earlier about Sinterklaas next year, by the way, so you can introduce that festivity as well ;-)

Stinkerklaas!

December 5th, 2006

The Sinterklaas holiday actually turned up to be Stinkerklaas. Last year, I got several new toys, food and a new crate. This year, The Ones Who Feed Me Every Day decided to shift all Sinterklaas presents to Christmas. What's wrong with getting presents twice in a month?!?

To keep me a little bit satisfied, I received one present today. The rest will be brought by Santa later this month.

Actually, I got four toys. I'll get the next one once I have broken the first one (what will be later today, hah!).

Compared to last year, this Sinterklaas stinks. And if I don't get a lot of presents, I won't cooperate on that diet anymore! I'll get my own food.

I hope y'all have enjoyed your Sinterklaas evening, I'm off to destroy my first toy.

My favourite spot #2

December 3rd, 2006

Well, actually my favourite spots #2 and #3. The number to spot is the chair (I love to sit in a chair, just like those humans do).

One of my other favourite spots is the couch. I'm a real couch potato and I love to lay down with The One Who Feeds Me Every Day.

Do you have favourite spots?
