Sorry for not posting very often. I've been in rehab for a few weeks, I had some serious issues. Until a few days ago, I was addicted to LOLcats.

The doctor said I had to think about other things If I wanted to get over my addiction, so I drew these LOLpug pictures.

Clean ears

June 30th, 2007

Yesterday, I had to visit the vet for my yearly shots. I hate going to the vet, cause that woman always wants to check my ears. And I hate it when someone wants to look in my ears!

This time, however, was different. After I got my shots (which I didn't feel a thing of, the huge amount of skin is finally paying off!) she checked my ears like she always does afterwards. In 8 out of 10 times, she says that they need to be rinsed with some kind of stuff. And that stuff is even nastier than the stuff The Ones Who Feed Me Every Day use every other week.
But this time, she said "Your ears are perfectly clean"! Whoohooo! That means that I won't be having another ear infection in the next couple of weeks!

No rain

May 3rd, 2007

It's been dry for almost a month now in the Netherlands, which is a new record. March, April and May usually are rainy months, but not this year.

Usually around this time of the year, I won't be able to stand on the spot on the picture below.

Thank God there's still some water left, cause I love to wade through the water when it's hot.

Luckily, the weatherman said that it might rain again somewhere next week. I certainly hope so!

Upside down tagging

April 30th, 2007

There have already been several rounds of blog tag, but I thought it would be cool to start another game.

How about upside down tagging? The rules are really simple: You have to post a picture of yourself in a vertically reversed position. If you tag three other bloggers, you're done! This is supposed to put the dog blogging scene upside down!

Here's an example. I'll even post two pictures of me with all 4 paws pointing to the sky:

Ok, now Ronin, The Flat Nosed Pups and Goodboy Norman are next!

Easy, huh?!?

Herrings & other things

April 25th, 2007

You're probably not familiar with most of the Dutch habits and traditions. And why would you, since you're not Dutch? I'll tell you about an old Dutch tradition; eating raw herring. You have to eat it in the traditional way and the herring is preferably served with raw onions. In almost every city you can find fish stands, which -in most cases- sell herring.
Why am I telling you this? Because herring is delicious!

So, if you're ever in or near The Netherlands, don't forget to try the typical Dutch herring ;)

Oh, and because I've been away for a while, here are some newsflashes:

- The picture gallery is online now. You can email me (info at pugs dot nl) your best shots, if you want to get listed as well ;)

- American toys aren't better than European toys. European toys (which are in most cases Chinese, however) last for about 18-20 minutes, my two American toys both lasted for around 20 minutes as well...

- You can vote for your favorite Pug of the Month finalist in this forum thread. Oh, and Jack (Coralfishg) was last month's winner.

- The last newsflash (yes, I've been saving the best for last) is that I'll be an uncle soon. How cool is that! The Ones Who Feed Me Every Day are expecting a baby in mid December. I can hardly wait!

My sincere apologies...

April 22nd, 2007

Hi there, this is The One Who Feeds Django Every Day. Django asked me to write a post for him. He wanted me to give an official statement about his whereabouts. However, I'm not allowed to write more than just this single post for him, so this is the first and the last time I will contributing to this blog.

Django has received a couple of emails, forum PMs and blog comments about whether he was still alive or not. I couldn't foresee that my trip to the US would have such an impact on him. I also didn't know that he had such an amount of fans, by the way.

Ok, here's the official part: Yes, Django is still alive and he will be blogging again real soon. His absence during the past few weeks was my fault. I put the computer on the top shelf, so Django couldn't reach the on/off button. My sincere apologies for leaving to the US and storing the PC out of Django's reach, what lead into almost three weeks of not a single blog post. Please accept these pictures I made last week in NY as an apology.

I have put the computer on the bottom shelf now, so Django can control the PC with his own paws.

Catching up

April 3rd, 2007

As I said earlier, it's time to do some catching up. Well, here we go.

I'll start with a call for help. Look at the pics below, I'm getting molested! The horror!

As you can see in this video, I also don't get enough food. I have to eat grass to stay in shape, for crying out loud!
Ok, that was my scream for help, now we'll get over to the other stuff...

I haven't been posting a lot lately, because of some login problems. That's why I'm really sorry to announce two new periods of light blogging. Next week, The One Who Feeds Me Every Day is taking off to the States for a business trip. Unfortunately, he isn't allowed to bring me with him. It isn't that bad, 'cause it means that The Other One Who Feeds Me Every Day and I will be getting a one week sleep over! The disadvantage is that I can't blog. My auntie & uncle have stashed their computer on the top shelf and I just can't reach the "on" button. Well, too bad...
The next period of light blogging will be in May. The Ones Who Feed Me Every Day have decided that we will be moving. We're not moving far away, but it'll still be a busy time...

A positive thing is that I just have recovered from yet another ear infection. Every week my ears are getting cleaned -which I absolutely hate!-, but I still managed to get another infection. Thank God I got rid of it.

Well, that's all for today. I'll do some more catching up later this week.

Pug comics

April 1st, 2007

One of the members of the Dutch forum posted some really funny comics. They have been made by Dave Kellet of

You can click on the comic below to see several of his comics.

April 1st, 2007

...I'm able to login again! I had some problems with a bug in the login system of this blog, so I wasn't able to blog for almost three weeks. For some odd reason, the login worked again today, so it's time to do some serious catching up!

Today must be my lucky day, 'cause the login thing works again AND the new design of the website is finally up and running. Well, for the English part of the website, that is. Feel free to check it out. If you come across weird looking pages, errors or other mistakes, please let me know.

Pug pictures needed

March 2nd, 2007

The new website design is making progress. One of the features that will be added soon, is a Pug Image Gallery. This Gallery, of course, will be loaded with cute and funny Pug pictures. But, because I don't want to add only pictures of myself, I need some pretty Pug pictures. So, if you want to be in the Image Gallery, please email your favorite picture(s) to, post it in the forum, or post a link to the picture in a comment.
